Drivers from Gaithersburg to Hagerstown, MD, can reserve their own Audi e-tron GT through Audi Frederick

It's clear by now that the internal combustion engine's reign as the auto industry's primary power source is on borrowed time. That the automobile's destiny is electric is especially true for luxury vehicles, as battery-centered powertrains allow for quieter and more robust performance. Take the 2022 Audi e-tron GT, for example, which made its journey from concept to reality with minimal design alterations. With its striking style, invigorating driving dynamics, and ultramodern tech, it represents the next generation of Audi electric performance.

With a 93.4-kWh lithium-ion battery pack powering a pair of synchronous electric motors, the Audi e-tron GT quattro unleashes 469 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque in its standard setting. And with launch control enabled, power briefly rises to 522 hp and 472 lb-ft, enabling a 0-60 sprint in just 3.9 seconds. Additionally, with its innovative battery cooling system, the e-tron GT can do this several times in a row without exhibiting symptoms of heat-related degradation. And if that's not enough, the extra-spicy 2022 RS e-tron GT introduces an even more powerful rear motor to make 590 combined horsepower and 637 hp with overboost.

The e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT achieve EPA-estimated ranges of 238 and 232 miles, respectively, and boast among the industry's quicks DC fast-charging rates, replenishing the battery from five to 80 percent in less than 25 minutes. And now, Audi is making it easier than ever to go electric by offering access to several available charging solutions.

On-the-Go Charging with Electrify America

2022 e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT customers will receive three years of complimentary DC fast charging via the Electrify America network, which plans to have 800 stations and 3,500 chargers in service by the end of 2021. This will allow owners to take advantage of the e-tron GT's maximum 270 kW charging speed, which can add about 180 miles of range in just ~22 minutes. So, if you'll be track-testing your driving skills near an Electrify America DC fast charger, you can enjoy the e-tron GT's thrills, take a break between sessions, and get back on the course without much wait.
